If you don’t live it, it won’t come out of your horn.

Curtis Arnett grew up in New Hampshire and developed a love for music as a child while hearing soul, pop and rock music at home and jazz music at his grandparent’s house. He began playing music at age 9 on the cello, studying the Suzuki Method. One year later he would start playing saxophone, and started learning guitar one year after that. While in grade school, Curtis studied privately at Concord Community Music School with Matt Langley, David Tonkin and Tom Robinson and played in his high school jazz band under the direction of big band guru Stephen Guerra. After high school, Curtis attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA to study instrumental jazz performance and learn from world class saxophonists Dick Oatts, Ben Schachter and Tim Warfield. In Philly Curtis began expanding his stylistic abilities beyond the jazz idiom, playing hip hop, funk, rock and folk. He now lives in NH where he works as a performing and recording musician in a multitude of groups including David Shore’s Trunk of Funk, Zooo Crew, Bosey Joe, Llava Llama, She Funk, The Rhythm Upstairs and Heist.
